Okay I wasn't ready for this book. I started to read it and I thought I had everything figured out. Specially because I thought it was going to be a Beauty and Beast kind of remake... which was kind of true but it wasn't at all the way I had expected it.
The beginning is fine, nothing extraordinary, just a lot of ideas of what the book might be going through my mind. The medium part advanced slowly, even though I loved it, this part was full of romance and not really that much of adventurous stuff like I had expected. And the end... that end... I still don't even know what to say. The end was absolutely nothing like I though it would be. I thought she would just kiss him a break a spell and that was it. I thought it was just going to be another normal fairy tale.
I loved the characters so much, every one of them. I think the author has an special ability not only to trick you good but to create a series of unique diverse characters, every one of them full of surprises. Not a single character turned out to be what I expected; maybe just the main character, Feyre.
I'm actually completely in love with the three male main characters, every single one of them so different. Tamlin is just a dream, so cute, so handsome, so smart, so full of deep emotions. It would be so hard not to fall in love with him. I didn't like Lucien at the beginning but I understand know where that hate he might have had was coming from. His story shows how strong he is and still he manages to be so nice and playful. Rhysand at the end was my favorite character. I have a weak spot for those, who I think, feel lonely. I love the darkness that surrounds him (literally) because I've always loved characters that represent the darkness so well without being necessarily bad.
This book contains sex scenes so if you don't feel comfortable with them you might want to skip them but they were actually good and just made me feel so excited for the characters.
Maybe I would have liked more detail on the physical appearance of people and places. Sometimes I felt like I couldn't fully create an image of them in my mind without adding personal opinions because the author didn't specify certain things.
The only thing I didn't like about the end was the answer to the riddle. I mean... it was that obvious that was kind of corny, and somehow even as I didn't like it I liked it but I think that happened because of the situation they were in when she answered.
This book will warm your heart and will break it into a million pieces and then will make you feel confused and then will make you feel hopeless and worried and then happy and then more confused and happy again. A book just so full of emotions. I loved this book so much and if you haven't read it then, what are you doing with your lives? I don't even know what I was doing before this book.
