I was so excited when I read this book because guess who's back? Yep, Percy Jackson my friends.
Percy is now lost. He doesn't remember very much about his life before he woke up in that wolf house. He can only remember one name: Annabeth. He barely can remember her face but he's pretty sure he needs to go back to her. Suddenly, after months defeating monsters all by himself, he finds a camp where apparently there are more kids like him. He meets a guy and a girl: Frank and Hazel (Guess who's the second trio of the prophecy of seven?). They welcome him and start being friends very easily.
There's also Reyna who is the leader of the camp. Reyna is tough as no one has ever been before and puts everybody's concerns before her owns. Even though she's not part of the seven I get the feeling she will be a big part of the series as well as Hazel's brother, a mysterious guy and you will choke when you meet him.
They go on this mission given by Mars (Ares). They must go north and defeat another giant and his troops to save the camp and the people that live in it. But first they will have to solve their own secret issues from the past and learn to trust one another.
My opinion on Hazel is that she's really caring and selfless. I feel like she's always thinking on other's people feelings and she always puts other's well being before her own.
My opinion on Frank is that he's so sweet! He lacks confidence unfortunately but he's always trying to do what's best and what's right.
I loved this book simply because Percy was in it. I also loved it because it means Annabeth is one step closer to finding Percy (hopefully). It was so refreshing to see Percy again with his laid-back confidence and leadership and ability to be just awesome. At the beginning it was weird to see him go on a mission with this new team and not with Annabeth but at the end I really liked this trio and I'm so excited to read the next book.
