GET THIS BOOK
I don't even know how to start. I mean it certainly was not what I expected. I don't know why there was so much excitement for this book. Don't get me wrong, I kind of liked it but I don't think it is THAT good that will make everyone talk about it. This is one of those books that I bought and read because everyone else did.

I can't say much about the book without doing spoilers but here it goes.

The story is about this girl called Rachel. She takes the train every morning and every afternoon from where she lives to London and back. She does this because she doesn't have a job and she wants to pretend she still does so her roommate won't get mad at her. Every day she sees a couple in a house in a little town midway to London. One day she notices something weird in the house and at the next day she sees in the news the woman that lives there is missing. With nothing else to do she decides to get involve in the drama and try to investigate and help with the things that she knows about them. This will lead her to a series of problems with everyone around her but as long as she can get her mind busy with this it doesn't matter to her.

I liked the beginning and the end. The first 100 pages were the ones that got you hooked and the last 100 pages were the ones that left you kind of surprised. Even though some things you kind of could see coming you couldn't see coming all of it, just a little glance about what was about to happen. The middle part is what I didn't like. I get the middle part had to be written so the readers could understand more the characters and why they were the way they were at this point of their lives. I feel like it was too much of the same and nothing really interesting happened, even though I did like finding more about the characters pasts and their stories.

I liked the different personalities that you can see and follow in all the different characters. I liked that you can relate to the different personalities because they're everyday people with different pasts. Their actions make them who they are and the feelings that they develop will lead them to do crazy stuff just like when any of us is sad or is going through a really bad time. But it doesn't matter how crazy and insane these actions are, you will say: "I don't know if I would do that, but I get why she's doing it".

If you liked it leave a comment and share it with your friends :)
